If you are experiencing issues with the VPN then

  • flush the database and restart
  • disable the use of VPN in options and restart again

The movies list should now load properly

Might be something trivial, but ideally shouldnt the files be installed in the /opt directory instead of /usr/share? thanks :)

according to the popcorntime subreddit the new temporal source for the binary is this http://popcorn-ru.tk/build/

it has a future proof build with a new entry on the settings to change the website the api comes from in case the current website is taken offline.

hi, it doesnt load movies or shows since a week or so, even after flushing config folder/database and disabling vpn, is it just me ?

I think getpopcorntime.is is the continuation of the original popcorn after the website takedown, remember seeing a post about it but better safe than sorry, github works best

Update: wasn't been able to retrieve the request I filled but I talked to the TUs and it's fine

getpopcorntime.is is not the same. It has a different version numbering scheme and probably completely different code, maybe even malware – who knows.

I have changed the URL to point to Github again. This seems to be the most stable solution.
