If you are experiencing issues with the VPN then

  • flush the database and restart
  • disable the use of VPN in options and restart again

The movies list should now load properly

kronikpillow: Did you look at the PKGBUILD? There you can find the answer:

source=("${_pkgname}.desktop" "<https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Popcorn-Time>-${pkgver}-Linux-64.tar.xz")

This doesn't seem to be the -bin version, did you download the official build from the popcorntime.sh website or did you build this your self? bcz the official one plays all files audio and video, while the git version has serious problems with both audio and video, and now all of a sudden after latest update, even this one has a issue ... o.O

There is also this site with a different (apparently older) version. Are they related? Or is that one just fake?

This version conflicts with nvm due to something to do with libnw.

You can see the issue here: https://github.com/nvm-sh/nvm/issues/1968

The fix so far has been to uninstall this popcorntime-bin and use the popcorntime-git version.

Hi. As of last update popcorntime downloads files like below.

[PATH]\Popcorn Time\70fd833d34b03603a38403a2f3f0ed752fb4886e\Supernatural.S12E16.HDTV.x264-LOL[ettv] instead of: [PATH]\Popcorn Time\Supernatural.S12E16.HDTV.x264-LOL[ettv]

hi @gtklocker, thanx for removing nodejs dependency

ecruzolivera commented on 2019-01-21 17:14 (UTC)

Hi @gtklocker thank you for the answer,

I download the https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Popcorn-Time-0.3.10-Linux-64.tar.xz extract it, execute it and works like a charm.

So could you please remove the nodejs dependency.

Regards

@ecruzolivera possibly, would you try without the dependency and let me know how it works for you?

@Archeon what's the sha512sum of the file you have? I just redownloaded it myself and it seems to pass the checks.
