beroal. Same error message BUT I started examining the output on stdout looking at what was found on my system and what wasn't. Just happened to notice that it couldn't find "libtool". I'm no C programmer but that sounded like something I probably ought to have so I installed it and pulseaudio-git finally compiled!! The moral to this story is that "libtool" should be listed as a dependency. Thanks for the push, beroal. I was close to giving up. Now to see if I can *finally* get my bluetooth headset to work!

and "pulseaudio"

whatshisname, remove the "src" directory before running "makepkg".

beroal, thanks for the reply. Just tried it with both "makepkg" and "makepkg -s". Same error message. Was using yaourt before.

whatshisname, did you try to build the package with "makepkg"?

to walkindude: Thanks for the reply. Still no joy for me. I never had pulseaudio-git installed so the yaourt -Rdd command did nothing for me. I'm on my 5th or 6th go 'round trying to get my bluetooth headset working per the wiki. For the 5th or 6th time, all signs point to getting pulseaudio-git installed before it's ever going to work. So here I sit stumped and frustrated.

to whatshisname: sorry, mate, long time haven't answered your question I did (I use yaourt as main package tool): yaourt -Rdd pulseaudio-git yaourt -S pulseaudio-git

To walkindude: Thanks for the reply. But which package do I first need to delete?
