@zeroconf reinstalling the application should be enough

The "yay -Syyuu protonvpn" didn't help, had to use "yay -Rsn protonvpn" and then first command again. But works now, thanks for hint!

Errors with updating (won't update):

:: python-proton-client and python-protonvpn-nm-lib are in conflict. Remove python-protonvpn-nm-lib? [y/N] error: unresolvable package conflicts detected error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies) :: python-proton-client and python-protonvpn-nm-lib are in conflict (python-protonvpn-nm-lib<3.4.0)

It seems that package extra/python-gobject is mandatory, but not pulled as dependency. Without it protonvpn-cli lets you login to Proton, but you can't connect to any server, as it fails with Python errors.

@mjboa you're half right, gnome-keyring and kwallet should be suggestions while network-manager-applet is not needed. I'm running on Manjaro and nm-applet is not present on my system.

mjboa commented on 2021-07-31 17:13 (UTC)

Both gnome-keyring and network-manager-applet are missing as dependencies and seem to be required for protonvpn to work.

@Ext update protonvpn-gui first, it will pull this library as a dependency.

installing python-protonvpn-nm-lib (3.3.1-2) breaks dependency 'python-protonvpn-nm-lib<3.3.0' required by protonvpn-gui.
