Turns out the error I was seeing was caused by me switching to the beta channel of the Roon ARC Android app. That build needs a more up to date build of roonserver, which is more than I'm willing to bother with. So I think this package is fine for now.
Though I will say that whenever I install it, I get errors about a command called debugedit
not being found. @blackhole do you know what that's about? It doesn't seem to affect anything

This package will always update to last version if you reinstall it as in git packages.
I had to do this because the roonlabs file has not version number.
Anyway later I will "update" it.

When I open up Roon ARC, it tells me that I need up date Roon Server, but I'm on 2.0.1368-1, which is the latest. Is there a new version needed?
Also I'm seeing that it looks like you've downversioned it to 2.0.1365-2... what's the deal with that? My local version is ahead of the upstream now.

Added a memory limit of 6G to systemd service. Let's see if this fix some problems
seeegma commented on 2023-05-09 21:59 (UTC)
it's fixed! thanks!

Just updated to version 2.0.1272 @seeegma please clean cache if you are using yay or other AUR helper
If you have tried to update from Roon control point, you should first remove /opt/RoonServer before installing:
rm -rf /opt/RoonServer
You can always remove the package and reinstall it if you have problems.
Here working fine.

Is this packaged correctly? I'm trying to upgrade from 2.0.1182-1 to 2.0.1244-1, but it ends up saying "warning: roonserver-2.0.1182-1 is up to date -- skipping".

@blackhole Yeah I've given up and just did that, thanks for the suggestion. (And thanks for maintaining the package too btw!)

@letgo100 I recommend to mount with a /etc/fstab line for a better control
For example, if you mount to /media/music after you can
chmod -R 777 /media/music
If these are only music files I would feel comfortable to give access to all
