@ventosus thank you! this was the last piece of missing information. I just could not find any manual whatsoever. And this command also isnt listed in the readme. It just sais: consult the manual... but it dont tell you how to open it. Well I guess their programs arent really targetet at noobs like me that dont know basic shit like that. Anyawys, thank you good sir!

@nhoma please file application requests via mail, gitlab or github, this here is just for the AUR recipe.

the program doesnt show up in my menu

Well, the application does not install the needed *.desktop files to show up in any menu, it is supposed to be started manually, e.g. via the console.

man synthpod_alsa
man synthpod_jack

@ventosus thank you for your quick answers. Sadly the Documentation and Readme are not as indepth as I would like them to, which is why I asked here. But I do understand that this is not the place for it. But maybe I did something wrong, building it, too, as the program doesnt show up in my menu after following the build steps in the readme

@nhoma

may I ask you how I can edit the packagebuild in a way that uses this other provided link

just replace the URL in the PKGBUILD

I dont know how to run the program

this is not the right place to ask (read the README.md)

also I have some build problems. I followed the steps in the readme: cd synthpod meson build cd build ninja -j4 sudo ninja install but I dont know how to run the program

@ventosus the gitlab mirror works for me. As a beginner, may I ask you how I can edit the packagebuild in a way that uses this other provided link? So that I can update the package with an Syu

@nhoma

You may want to try another mirror, too, if the official one's too slow.

git clone <https://gitlab.com/OpenMusicKontrollers/synthpod.git>

@nhoma works fine here, I don't see any problem.

Can you git clone manually at all ?

git clone <https://git.open-music-kontrollers.ch/lv2/synthpod>

zita-alsa-pcmi dependency fixed.

@milkmiruku, you seem to use jack2, right? The latter does not depend on zita-alsa-pcmi, so the package indeed needs an explicit dependency (for those running on jack2) for synthpod's alsa backend.

Thanks for reporting.
