I will post an update, using python 3.4 shortly (in few minutes).

Aww, I deleted my comment right after I figured it out (You're really quick, haha), but I have one more question. Because I'm using python 3.4, it seems unable to apply the patch since it's looking for files in /usr/lib/python3.3 (which doesn't exist). How would I resolve that issue?

Hi, mrdella94 To install packages from AUR you should have base-devel group packages installed. To install it perform pacman -S base-devel as root. After installation is finished, proceed with system76-driver package.

I'm on the galu1 and I'm unable to install this package. I've installed all dependencies, as well as colord, pulseaudio, and pm-utils. This is also on a fresh installation (I'm new to Arch). I get the following error: patch: command not found and I'm not sure to to go about fixing this. I really appreciate you taking the time to port the driver over to arch though.

I'm using a Galago Ultra Pro and the model wasn't detected, so I had to look up the models in "/usr/lib/python3.3/site-packages/system76driver/model.py" ( it's 'galu1' ) and run 'system76-driver --model galu1' and add '--model galu1' in the systemd service unit in order for it to work!

raisdead, thanks for the feedback! I added patch as a make dependency and colord as a optional dependency. I would keep pm-utils, pulseaudio and colord as optional, since some people are using arch w/o this packages.

Should patch be added to the dependencies? For anyone having problems: I am on galu1 - Galago UltraPro I had to install pm-utils and colord before I got `sudo system76-driver-cli` to work without errors. Thanks for the package!

ava1ar, the two files you wanted me to compare is actually the same file. Am i misunderstanding something or did you copy and paste the same file accidentally. Yes i am using pulseaudio it got installed whit gnome and I haven made any extra configurations. In alsamixer i can see the mic but when pulseaudio is started i get this error [pulseaudio] alsa-mixer.c: [/usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-input-internal-mic.conf:24] Name makes no sense in 'General' [pulseaudio] bluez4-util.c: org.bluez.Manager.GetProperties() failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "GetProperties" with signature "" on interface "org.bluez.Manager" doesn't exist and when i open alsamixer the volume is changed to 0. The device doesn't show up in pulseaudio settings but strangely i can see the volume control for an input device in gdm but when i log in it is gone. Also when i connect a mice to the external mice input the internal one shows up. but when i disconnect it the device disappear but pulseaudio still receives a signal from it (i can see input level: moving). also i installed the update but nothing changed. I don't know what is relevant but i taught i would give you as much information as possible. i amuse the bluez thing is unrelated but i included it just in case.

Package updated: now using package for Ubuntu 13.10 and pulseaudio was added as a optional dependency.
