it doesn't open without pm-utils (Bonobo Extreme)

ava1ar commented on 2014-04-05 01:41 (UTC)

pm-utils is currently marked as optional dependency. Do you think it should be mandatory dependency?

atweiden commented on 2014-04-05 00:33 (UTC)

This package requires pm-utils

Looks like everything is running perfectly now. Thank you very much!

Updated to 14.04.0, python >= 3.4 now required.

I will post an update, using python 3.4 shortly (in few minutes).

Aww, I deleted my comment right after I figured it out (You're really quick, haha), but I have one more question. Because I'm using python 3.4, it seems unable to apply the patch since it's looking for files in /usr/lib/python3.3 (which doesn't exist). How would I resolve that issue?

Hi, mrdella94 To install packages from AUR you should have base-devel group packages installed. To install it perform pacman -S base-devel as root. After installation is finished, proceed with system76-driver package.

I'm on the galu1 and I'm unable to install this package. I've installed all dependencies, as well as colord, pulseaudio, and pm-utils. This is also on a fresh installation (I'm new to Arch). I get the following error: patch: command not found and I'm not sure to to go about fixing this. I really appreciate you taking the time to port the driver over to arch though.

I'm using a Galago Ultra Pro and the model wasn't detected, so I had to look up the models in "/usr/lib/python3.3/site-packages/system76driver/model.py" ( it's 'galu1' ) and run 'system76-driver --model galu1' and add '--model galu1' in the systemd service unit in order for it to work!
