Error messages about "'failed to execute /usr/lib/.... xend/udev_event':No such file or directory" (lots of them) are caused by /etc/udev/rules.d/xend.rules xend is (a) deprecated and (b) not used, it is safe to remove xend.rules

failed to execute '/usr/lib/udev/socket:/org/xen/xend/udev_event' 'socket:/org/xen/xend/udev_event': No such file or directory I get dozens of this message on boot and on journalctl. Why's that?

It was a typo. My bad, fixed.

I got an error during build: install: cannot stat 'xendomU.service': no such file or directory.

@luolimao: the existing 20_linux_xen file won't pick up the kernel as archlinux deploys it, and puts it after the normal boot config so you have to explicitly select the xen boot option whenever you boot up. The 09_xen version can see the archlinux kernel and also puts it above the normal boot option so that booting into xen + dom0 is the default.
