Is there any chance of changing the version number to YYYYMMDD, as with other -git packages?

"cairo<=1.8.8" is a problem because in the repos we have release 1.8.10. Is the restriction really needed? On the other side, cairo and gtk2 are already fulfilled dependencies by poppler-glib.

You need to replace 'git-pull' with 'git pull'.

Should really depend on poppler-data imho. PDFs don't look the same without it.
