@dec that is a regression upstream. I am talking to the maintainers to get it fixed. It seems like a dependent repository was made private.

Hi @gin078, Package upgrade balena-etcher 2:1.5.90-1 is asking for username on github. A very strange behavior.

Cheers dec

Hi @ekianjo,

re2 is a dependency of electron7, not Etcher directly.

ekianjo commented on 2020-05-09 05:00 (UTC)

This package is missing the dependency re2, it won't launch if not present, please fix! Thanks

@huyizheng thanks for the note, I hadn't seen that package go into [community]. I've updated the package

Now electron7 is in community repo: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/electron7/ So perhaps the dependency can be changed into electron7 rather than hard-coded electron7-bin.

Hello @gin078

I ended up installing this version of etcher: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/etcher-bin

@Serial that looks like a local networking issue or perhaps upstream issue with NPM, are you able to retry that build? I've just rebuilt it successfully from source.

I'm having the same problem as @LinuxIsBest, @romax, and @Serial, with the same logs as @romax. I tried rebuilding the package. (Arch Linux)
