anyway it's still unclear why it doesn't via AUR helper as usual...

I have seen something similar last year with handbrake, something like the bundled ffmpeg isn't the latest and pickup but isn't compatible with the system's vulkan headers or similar

by building in a chroot the vulkan headers aren't present and the build don't fail

@FabioLolix Oh, that's true, thanks, the local package does upgrade OK. But anyway it's still unclear why it doesn't via AUR helper as usual...

I just want subject to be updated at last.

The package have already been build; just install it

Making a local Arch packages repository is not mandatory and have an additional maintainance burden

@FabioLolix Should I add some repo in my /etc/pacman.conf, or what next? I don't understand, sorry. I just want subject to be updated at last. Maybe some logs, configs, etc. to show? I don’t want to be verbose, this is not a forum after all, but what to do.

@vlas sorry, about repository I meant an Arch packages repository

vlas commented on 2024-04-27 21:50 (UTC)

@FabioLolix There is "cinelerra-gg" dir already (with subdirs: branches, hooks, info, etc.), so git clone doesn't work. I'm not a dev, so the process isn't very clear for me, sorry. Should I do something more to find out a solution?

FabioLolix commented on 2024-04-27 21:04 (UTC)

@vlas not a blocking or problematic error, it is happening because you don't already have a repository with cinelerra-gg inside

@FabioLolix It looks like build have been going ok, but ended up with an error:

...
Checking cinelerra-gg-debug-2024.02-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
==> Running checkpkg
error: target not found: cinelerra-gg
==> WARNING: Skipped checkpkg due to missing repo packages

Full console output

@vals

Build the package in a clean chroot for convenience using extra-x86_64-build from devtools package https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/DeveloperWiki:Building_in_a_clean_chroot
