IMPORTANT!

Since version 19.1.3-2 this package will not download automatically the source file from the upstream site.

To build this package you will need to manually download the file from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion and place it in the same directory with the PKGBUILD.

This would reduce the mess in this package, making it more readable and clear. Also bypassing the required information from the upstream URL is not allowed in an automated way.

I noted that if I remove the makedepends after install I have issues with the GUI. Keeping the makedepends seems to fix. Posting in case this helps anyone else.

Updated to 18.04 yesterday. Also the linux kernel was upgrade to version 6.0.x.... and with it the nvidia drivers. Since then I do get the message that the Nvidia GPU cannot be initialized any more. I am on an optimus laptop (intel/nvidia) and before the update it was running fine (resolve 18.03 with reverse prime - prime-run). Excerpt from the log:

EDIT: it does work, if I do not load the intel GPU drivers (modsetting) though.

Out of date, 18.0.1 is already available

Hi, Studio 18.0.1 is out: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=164667

When trying to run studio 18 I get ./resolve: error while loading shared libraries: libc++.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. 17.4.6 worked fine.
