I removed the out-of-date flag because this is a VCS package. The only needed updates are when the build steps change. The user is supposed to check for updates. In the past I used to update the pkgver variable every few commits but that was wrong and I was asked to stop by a TU. Here are the guidelines: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#Guidelines

@paapereira,@dekalog: Sorry, didn't notice the messages.

@dekalog You should try to rebuild dino if having such problems. The issue can be that the package you built links to libraries you upgraded.

@paapereira No, you should not need anything else client side. Just to be sure you can read the build log, at the beginning it's reported which plugin are going to be built. Dino had some issues fetching the OMEMO keys of your contact, moreover you should grant mutual subscription with your contact in order to obtain their keys. Since your message Dino improved a lot so I hope you are not having issues anymore.

I don't have an option to choose OMEMO. Anything I need to install apart for this package? I'm having no problems with OMEMO on Gajim.

Hi,

with one of the last system updates (sorry, can't pin down the specific date since I used dino seldomly), I can't start dino anymore and get following error: dino: symbol lookup error: dino: undefined symbol: dino_param_spec_stream_interactor

plugins/omemo/src/contact_details_dialog.c:16:10: fatal error: qrencode.h: No such file or directory

Can you add qrencode as a build dependency?

@NicoHood: can this topic be relevant for your report https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=240279

@kirschner: do you still have problem building? which errors?

With the latest version I get the following warnings (via namcap), which should be fixed. There is possible something wrong in the upstream built process, but i am not sure:

Checking dino-git-r314.6b7ef80-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/dino/plugins/http-files.so') lacks PIE. dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/dino/plugins/omemo.so') lacks PIE. dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/dino/plugins/openpgp.so') lacks PIE. dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/libdino.so.0.0') lacks PIE. dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/libqlite.so.0.1') lacks PIE. dino-git W: ELF file ('usr/lib/libxmpp-vala.so.0.1') lacks PIE.

Seems it is currently not building the latest version. When I install it, I get df8b5fc which is a commit from 8 June 2018.

Editing PKGBUILD is no-longer necessary since tests execute fine and problem was fixed upstream
