@djallits I've tried applying the patch, and DKMS fails for me. Is it because this patch hasn't been updated for kernel 6.2.2? That's the only thing I can think of.
I've tried adding the GitHub link to the patch in the
source=()array, it seems to download OK but I see this error repeated in the build log:djallits commented on 2023-02-28 00:59 (UTC)
The following Pull Request resolves the issue. https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/pull/401

If you guys are having issues with compiling on Linux Kernel versions 6.2 and newer, you might want to stay on 6.1 and lower, from the package archive on archive.org or from the linux-lts package until a fix is released upstream.

@mszs the module should be installed via DKMS... Pls show the output of running
sudo dkms statuson your machine.mszs commented on 2022-11-25 14:46 (UTC)
I'm using kernel 5.15.78 on Manjaro. I've tried both evdi and evdi-git. With both I get the same: when I do
sudo modprobe evdi initial_device_count=2the machine quasi-hangs. I can no longer enter anything in the terminal window where I issued the command, I cannot change windows or desktops. Control-Alt-F2 still works...direc85 commented on 2022-10-05 21:44 (UTC)
Kernel 6.0 compatibility is on its way, but there's a workaround: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/376

Anyone else unable to install this (DKMS error 10) on Kernel version 6.0 and newer? No matter the fork? Is this an upstream issue?

Because evdi 1.10.2 is out looks at evdi package at AUR
