Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

@lineage, Sorry for double post, this line in the comment you suggested did the trick! : "For *ME* removing/renaming /etc/fonts/conf.d/65-fonts-persian.conf solved the crashes. thanks guys!"

JohnnyDeacon commented on 2013-02-07 23:46 (UTC)

@lineage it crash everytime i try to start the program and it's repeatable. I haven't could use the program.

It's the same old fontconfig bug already stated a million times - including in the post_install/upgrade. Some even go as far as stating things like that in the pkgdesc because they're annoyed by people repeatedly complaining about the same thing. I'm just not quite there yet because I think it's even stupider.

Hi JonnyDeacon, Give us a bit more to go on.. Did it crash before it started-up, or had you been running? Repeatable? If its start-up, did you follow the instructions when you installed it? They are down lower in this page on a post with date 2013-01-04 15:42.

Where do you guys keep coming from..

JohnnyDeacon commented on 2013-02-06 23:08 (UTC)

Hi All, I'm getting this error while executing google-earth: Google Earth has caught signal 11. We apologize for the inconvenience, but Google Earth has crashed. This is a bug in the program, and should never happen under normal circumstances. A bug report and debugging data have been written to this text file: /home/jairo/.googleearth/crashlogs/crashlog-511072ae.txt Please include this file if you submit a bug report to Google. Maybe a bug?

Yeah, well, that's why I said the thing about you not being a mobile browser because I just figured you meant the former one when you asked me who has it directed to.

Ha ha ha... Now I see.. FWIW a 'No' at 10:25 would have saved a lot of bandwidth. Languages can be so much fun :-)

:D. I meant that back when I posted that link about Google forums I did it with a _mobile browser_ and hit refresh, which resent my post. Are we clear on that now?
