No I meant the actual log with /etc/localtime and that pastebin's the tool you should be using for them anyway.

Tried running under gdb to see if that would generate any more clues.. Not too useful, but here it is anyway.
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Ah sorry.. I had forgotten I tried removing localtime - but no change. Same SEGFAULT.
It looks like something related to futex.
the AUR google-earth has worked on here before, but I recently upgraded arch and google-earth. I have a feeling that the arch upgrade may have broken the old version but I'm not 100% sure.
Not sure where else I would have posted it for you to see :-)

Huh. And _with_ /etc/localtime? Does the previous one work? Did they used to?
I was never meaning for you to post it in here, by the way :D.

And the full output? Of "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/google/earth/free/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH strace /opt/google/earth/free/googleearth-bin" that is.
There's also the previous one here for those unlucky ones who have no other choice: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-earth6/

Not for me.
Removed 65-fonts-persian.conf - no change
Tried the 'further debug' option and the last thing it did was open /etc/localtime then closed it then did
gettimeofday({1359907137, 574974}, NULL) = 0
futex(0xb7726058, FUTEX_WAKE_PRIVATE, 2147483647) = 0
--- SIGSEGV {si_signo=SIGSEGV, si_code=SEGV_MAPERR, si_addr=0} ---

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to
