Arch recently dropped gdb make dependency for Hyprland package in extra ( see https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/hyprland/-/merge_requests/6). Probably, makes sense to drop it for this PKGBUILD, as well?

Oh,that's my fault, I didn't realize i installed hyprland-git from third-party repo.

The package itself is fine. Looks like an issue on your end. Try re-building hl-git and reinstalling that. You should have all of the following files in /usr/share/hypr/

lockdead.png lockdead2.png wall0.png wall1.png wall2.png

hyprland now complaints “hyprland failed to load 3 essential assets,blame your distro's packager for doing a bad job at packagin!” when I login in.

Yes I think that's the best way to go. Weird tho, I don't remember those files being included in hl-git (checked before pushing that update and they weren't there. idk)

Also had the same issue as ding, I solved my problem by removing hyprland-git then installing hyprland-protocols-git before reinstalling hyprland-git. Seemed like the cleanest workaround to me.
