The python2.7 dir does not get created in the build directory with the bindings/libraries, thus both operations fail.

Thanks for letting me know.
I don't understand exactly what is going wrong. Do you mean to say that the python2.7 dir does not get created in the build directory during the compilation of lldb? Or is it that the users's filesystem does not have the python2.7 directories?
<deleted-account> commented on 2013-05-07 20:23 (UTC)
Package fails to build. No python2.7 dir gets created/exists.
Problematic lines :
# Install the lldb python libraries.
cp --recursive --preserve=mode --no-preserve=ownership,timestamps python2.7/ "$pkgdir/usr/lib/"
# Relink the _lldb.so
ln -sf '../../../llvm/liblldb.so' "$pkgdir/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/lldb/_lldb.so"

Go ahead and update it. I disowned it.

Desperately needs an svn revision update. There's a horrible crash on a pure virtual function call on any attempt at using C++11's std::thread.

Alright, I was not sure how to approach this. I will take a look and post an updated PKGBUILD. Thanks!

Btw, you might have a look at the new makepkg's goodness for svn packages: http://allanmcrae.com/2012/08/changes-to-vcs-packaging-support-in-makepkg/
mmm commented on 2013-04-02 12:49 (UTC)
would it be possible to somewhat reduce the svn-checkout and resulting build size?
llvm-svn has 1.3GB instead of 82MB for llvm..

Updated with suggestions from lordheavy.
I had some issues with the license length limitation (40 chars) in the upload script on the AUR. The license is custom:University of Illinois/NCSA Open Source License.

When you have this package installed applications that are built against repo-llvm/clang WILL fail unless they are rebuild against this package.
This includes QTCreator, kdevelop , mesa, intel-compute-runtime, gnome-builder to name a few.

Archlinux currently has 3 llvm git implementations
This package
llvm-minimal-git
packages created & maintained by Lordheavy, an arch developer

I've looked good at clang-trunk , llvm-svn, repo llvm/clang packages and think this package is now on route to become a worthy successor to llvm-svn .
llvm-libs-git holds the runtime libraries.
llvm-git
The Package now uses a new environment variable to make ninja behave, NINJAFLAGS. If you want to use it adjust the snippet below to your desired values and add it to makepkg.conf.
Incase you are satisfied with ninja defaults you don't need to do anything.
The check() function fails rather often, but I do suggest to build with them. If build fails due to test failure you can add --nocheck to skip the tests.
