I also ran into the segfault issue Weby had below. I'm running on a Manjaro system that had a snap build for makemkv which is working fine.

However, there is no snap image for makemkvcon (makemkv-cli). On the build of this I get: Please type "yes" if you accept the terms of the license Aborting installation make: *** [Makefile:48: tmp/eula_accepted] Error 2 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package(). Aborting...

So it won't build. I tried to edit the build files and comment this out but it still happened. So I'm not sure what is going on here.

Both makemkv and makemkv-cli are version 1.17.1.

Please advise. Thanks.

The last few releases are broken for me. They segfault. I reckon it's due to glibc updates but I honestly can't figure it out myself.

Tried to downgrade it all the way to 1.16.1 to no avail, still the same segfault whenever I try to use makemkvcon info or makemkvcon mkv or whatever.

@tee Blu-Ray disks use java for dynamic content including menu systems, so yes, java is required.

tee commented on 2022-03-12 18:23 (UTC)

Does this really depend on java-runtime? The actual makemkv package does not.

The PKGBUILD contains a bug. It lists ${url}/download/makemkv-oss-${pkgver}.tar.gz, which downloads makemkv-oss-1.15.4.tar.gz, but includes the b2sum ostensibly for makemkv-oss-1.15.3.tar.gz. If I update the b2sum of this tarball, the PKGBUILD builds normally. I also had to correct an explicit cd makemkv-oss-1.15.3 to be cd makemkv-oss-${pkgver}, in two different places.

Why the old version was hard coded is beyond me.
