To build it with current PKGBUILD, I had to uncomment mkdir build/ line and add -DPYTHON_EXECUTABLE=/usr/bin/python2 to cmake options in build()

Sorry for the late response, I forgot about that and I just noticed! Thank you again for your comments.

Hi again, (1) Please add 'i686' to the arch array. (2) I also had to add this to build it, so you either need to add it, or add boost as a makedepend (ugh, no!): -DOTB_USE_EXTERNAL_BOOST=OFF (3) Now that this one is a release version it doesn't need mercurial as a makedepend. Thanks!

Alister.Hood, sorry but as i couldn't recompile orfeo-toolbox i forgot about your message. Yes, you are right, orfeo-toolbox uses a different ITK library than the aur I will also create a new package orfeo-toolbox-hg and i will update this one (sometime...) to be the official release. Thank you for your help :)

Oh - I saw someone say "all" of the dependencies have internal versions, which I guess would explain how you wouldn't notice if you had the wrong "itk".

Hi, 1) Isn't the "itk" in aur completely different from the "itk" that otb needs? 2) If it's going to build from hg, shouldn't the package be called orfeo-toolbox-hg, not just orfeo-toolbox? What if someone else wants to create a package for the release version? 3) Shouldn't hg be a build dependency if it's going to build from hg? Or is hg always installed in 64 bit Arch?

Hi, FYI, for the next release (3.14) you can now use package installer to avoid compiling LibKML, TinyXML and MuParser when building OTB. It implies to add new dependencies to the otb package. On Debian-like systems it should just be a matter of installing libkml-dev libmuparser-dev libtinyxml-dev. see the control file for ubuntu package here : http://hg.orfeo-toolbox.org/OTB-DevUtils/file/4f6eb717269f/Packaging/ubuntu/OTB/debian/control.in I'l try to update my Arch Linux platform which test neightly OTB to follow this kind of configuration Regards, Manuel
