Looks like this should be fixed in the next release: https://github.com/MoonchildProductions/Pale-Moon/pull/78

As a quick fix I adapted the package as palemoon-infinality based on https://github.com/bohoomil/fontconfig-ultimate/issues/90 https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/palemoon-infinality/

You can try disabling the skia graphics engine by adding 'ac_add_options --disable-skia' to mozconfig.in, it builds then, and I haven't noticed any problems so far (fonts look a little more blurry, but I'm not sure if I'm just imaging that). The better option is to report this as a bug to the infinality dev(s).

Aha, I can reproduce this with freetype2-infinality-ultimate. Since it builds with Arch's stock freetype2, and freetype2-ubuntu, and the code it's failing to build hasn't been changed in a year [1], I think this is a problem with the infinality patchset. In the stock freetype2 and ubuntu's patchset, FT_Get_X11_Font_Format is defined in freetype2/ftxf86.h, but in infinality, it's defined in freetype2/ftfntfmt.h. I don't know if this is a recent change, but it breaks drop-in replacement which infinality is apparently supposed to maintain[2]. I can confirm the exact same problem as jaro3 has, both with 25.40 and 25.4.1. Removing "--enable-optimize" doesn't change anything. And yes, I also use the infinality fonts.

The same error remains there even if I set MAKEFLAGS="-j1" in makepkg.conf and make manually... I get the same error with 25.4.1 even if --enable-optimize commented out in mozconfig. Could this libxul.so error be related to parallel build "-j 4" in makepkg.conf or to using the infinality fonts instead of the stock Arch fonts? Previous builds were running fine for me but the whole system was updated recently...

Is it failing at the exact same place? Also, was this with 25.4.0 or 25.4.1 (just uploaded an hour or so ago)? Does it build for you if you comment out the "--enable-optimize" line (#36) in mozconfig?
