I'm getting the following error trying to install any pamac package out there:

Run-time dependency gio-unix-2.0 found: YES 2.68.2
Found CMake: /usr/bin/cmake (3.20.3)
Run-time dependency gtk+-3.0 found: NO (tried cmake)

Hello, this need to be called pamac

I see a chicken/egg issue here ... if pamac is blocked in AUR how is pamac supposed to update to any version that would solve the issue?

Anyway, I am using this aur utility to actually install pamac-aur (it's like using IE to install Chrome ^_^;;) https://github.com/WebReflection/archibold.io/blob/master/utils/aur

The site is reachable via https too, so to grab it: curl -LO https://archibold.io/utils/aur and then chmod +x aur

It offers few helpers, including aur --list and aur --update ... but eventually, once latest pamac-aur is published, and the issue solved, it could be used as one-off to aur pamac-aur (or even for testing).

I know everyone can also do the manual dance (suggested by others in the forum as well) but for lazy people I hope this helps a bit to update, at least, packages otherwise, in case it's needed, and GNOME Software is not around.

It seems like the new version does not work with AUR (Cannot find any packages or update the ones I already have installed)

Ah thank you It's always weird to me, if a project violates semantic versioning

Zeph commented on 2021-04-07 21:56 (UTC) (edited on 2021-04-07 21:58 (UTC) by Zeph)

@MartinX3 yes is 10.1.0beta2 the package will be rated 10.1.0 in final version

MartinX3 commented on 2021-04-05 09:21 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing it.

But is it normal, that "10.0.99" turned into "10.1.0beta"?
