This is a development build of pcsx2 though, so that doesn't make sense to me.

Because 64 bit is currently undesired as it's still in a developmental phase that they don't really want us to distribute it. I've talked with the team a few times about this

I've been building a 64 bit package myself.
Here is what I use: https://gist.github.com/rodrigo21/b19e56743332fb8713979a6f49c21d3d

Is there any reason this PKGBUILD is still 32bit? The pcsx2 package in the repos is 64bit now. It could simply be ported over here with maybe a 2 line fix.

This package has been repaired. As of this latest commit, a CMake change will force compilation with the Submoduled yaml package.

We have a PR in the works that should repair this issue. Till it's merged, I'd currently recommend the installation of lib32-yaml-cpp
from the AUR as a work around to this issue.
I'm also going to experiment with a few other ways to fix this. The main issue in all of this is when you have a yaml-cpp package installed the compiler will auto select that and we get this current issue. if you don't wish to install the extra package know there's a fix on the way. If you can, uninstall the yaml-cpp package and it'll use our submodule and work.

This package now enables Cmake Package mode proper. PCSX2 will here on, be installed in the package standard folders /usr/bin, /usr/share, /usr/lib. Following the XDG standard pcsx2's config files remain in .config/PCSX2
In order to ensure a proper and clean upgrade. Uninstall this package COMPLETELY and clear cache before reinstalling.
