I am getting the same checksum errors for also web-client-desktop-3.71.1-757f795.tar.xz. Been getting that for the past few days it seems too.

I'd like to agree with this comment by Svenstaro. It doesn't work without me modifying my LD_LIBRARY_PATH as well.

The previous crash issue has been fixed in qt 5.11.2. I suggest to remove the qt5-pmp-xxx dependencies and switch back to arch version. See https://github.com/plexinc/plex-media-player/issues/743#issuecomment-423561512 and comments above

Build fails for me with:
[ 99%] Built target PlexMediaPlayer_autogen [ 99%] Linking CXX executable plexmediaplayer /usr/bin/ld.gold: fatal error: /opt/qt5-pmp/usr/lib/libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5.9.5: ELF section name out of range
qt5-pmp-webengine cleanly compiled from the current AUR.

Error: Could not find all required packages: gypsy (Wanted by: plex-media-player -> qt5-pmp-webengine -> qt5-pmp-location)

@HamishThaLegend, you can recompile qt5-pmp-base to fix the double-conversion error.
