Just a heads up, got this error earlier:
plexmediaplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libdouble-conversion.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Solved by rolling double-conversion back from 3.1.0-1 to 3.0.0-1

Can you wrap the executable with
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qt5-pmp/usr/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH plexmediaplayer? This would make sense it doesn't work without that bit.JensIsLinuxing commented on 2018-09-07 13:35 (UTC)
I get errors for the dependencies of qt5-pmp-webengine qt5-pmp-x11extras qt5-pmp-quickcontrols
"Coulnd not be found"

@hashworks: I'll add that later today.
@Improvotter: You can configure that in /etc/makepkg.conf. I have set MAKEFLAGS="-j$(nproc)" on my systems.

@degeberg You could provide ENV settings in the .desktop file: Exec=env XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=X-Generic LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qt5-pmp/usr/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH plexmediaplayer
