If you are experiencing issues with the VPN then

  • flush the database and restart
  • disable the use of VPN in options and restart again

The movies list should now load properly

@Commander Please stop spreading FUD. As I have written a few comments down as well as on popcorntime-git, I suggest you check https://www.reddit.com/r/PopCornTime/comments/4bbxw4/popcorn_time_faq/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/PopCornTime/comments/47o4bz/is_there_any_truth_to_the_guy_who_claims_the/d0fpicf/ and make a judgement for yourself. The ones who try the hardest to convince and do so by fat-fingering and calling out a conspiracy hardly ever are the right ones...

@314eter Thanks for the update. If you don't plan on maintaining the package anymore, then sure disown it and I'll adopt it. Otherwise, you can also just add me as a co-maintainer so that you'll still be able to contribute when you have time :)

Updated PKGBUILD for the latest 0.3.10 version here: http://sprunge.us/WBhW This version changed packaging, so I seized the occasion to overhaul it: get rid of now extraneous variable $_barch and correctly copy over everything contained in the archive (the current PKGBUILD leaves a lot of files behind). Warning: this new version of PT looks for databases (settings, watched, bookmarked...) in $HOME/.config/Popcorn-Time/**Default**/data/, while previous versions didn't use the "Default" hierarchy level. Cache also seems to have been moved to .cache/, so you should copy over what you need of reimport your databases from the app settings. Git diff of the changes: http://sprunge.us/jVEQ

It works perfectly, thanks a lot!! The only two issues I found here (doesn't happen on Ubuntu) are: - that thumbnails are not shown for series and films - Anime tab doesn't work for me (but used to work last time I checked it some weeks ago)
