@josephgbr: haha:-) looking forward to that~ and, a notice for those who want to install it: please change "heroes3_path" to the homm3 path in PKGBUILD before makepkg.

@Cravix: yeah, yeah, that black magic :) Good luck! I'm working on a rewrite of this PKGBUILD. When/if I have it working, I'll let you know.

@josephgbr: to be exact, the uppercase filename i mentioned is all-uppercase, e.g. "H3SPRITE.OLD", and what vcmi need is something like "H3sprite.old"= = maybe i'll take time to fix it, use find, tr and shell string func...

@Cravix: You'll most likely need to have these uppercase files, as that's what VCMI expects. I mean, you could apply a patch in vcmi's sources to set upper->lowercase for HoMM3 filenames, but probably you wouldn't want to create such patch for a SVN package.

@josephgbr: thank you, i've read it before:-) i just wonder if there's a way to play it without rearrange the files since i don't want to get /opt/vcmi/ messed up and many files's filenames of HoMM3 is all uppercase :-/ if there's no other solution, maybe i should repack vcmi to backup package, and once i want to remove it i just delete the whole folder, en

@Cravix: It seems you need to have the complete data files (means HoMM3 + WoG + vcmi tarball) inside VCMI data files' root dir (/opt/vcmi, in this case) in order to play correctly. That's what I understood from http://wiki.vcmi.eu/index.php?title=Installation_on_Linux#Preparing_data

@klavkastagir: it's orphaned now, why not take it :-) and, how to use vcmi? i tried to execute it under the HoMM3 dir, but i got Cannot open /opt/vcmi/Data/H3sprite.lod Cannot open /opt/vcmi/Data/H3bitmap.lod Cannot open /opt/vcmi/Data/H3ab_bmp.lod Loading .lod files: 0 Cannot find file: ZELP Fatal error. Missing game file: ZELP.TXT. Aborting! feel confused about how to set the Data folder...
