Hello,

On Arch with KDE I have problems opening a link from the chat or opening a picture in folder with the "Show in Folder" context menu option. The error it gives is:

kde-open5: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4: undefined symbol: nghttp2_option_set_no_rfc9113_leading_and_trailing_ws_validation

I already tried to downgrade curl and libnghttp2 to no avail.

@blankcat you put env before environmet variables, for example: Exec=env QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland XCURSOR_SIZE=16 /opt/viber/Viber %u

Arcolinux and Xfce4 here. What should be inserted into the desktop shortcut, so viber can start without having a terminal window opened? I am able to use {QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="" viber} and I have no issues with language layouts now (as on a different Arch build I had). But when I insert that line, instead of {viber %u} (which leaves no message at all), I always get an error: [Failed to execute child process"QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="(No such file or directory)]

Artix/KDE @ X11:

QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component qrc:/Resources/QML/MainWindow.qml: module "gtk2" is not installed zsh: segmentation fault viber

Solution (as suggested by another user here): Viber should be started by the command: QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="" viber

'env QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="" viber' did fix it for me

The way this viber works or installs is so annoying to say the least. Xfce4 here.

Issues and problems with it:

1) Snappy package needs to be installed separately.

2) Viber doesn't start and coredumps if you have several keyboard layouts other than US. setxkbmap needs to be set manually in the Terminal.

3) When Viber finally starts it cannot be perma-closed with a mouse. It remains in the sys-bar. Right clicking on the icon makes Systray Plugin properties popup, not Vibers.

4) Even though I have no mic, it instantly evokes Mic icon in the PulseAudio systray, as soon as Viber is started. This cannot be turned off anywhere.

I don't know if something of this can be prevented in future AUR packages, but current Viber is so obnoxious, like some pest app that plagues your system.

Looks like this version is depending on snappy package. I got this error on a clean install: viber: error while loading shared libraries: libsnappy.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After installing snappy, everything worked as expected.

I'm having a generic X11 icon displayed in the taskbar instead of Viber one.

I don't remember seeing this before.

Please update pkgbuild to use openssl-1.1, I've just done a manual test and the pkg builds ok/installs/works so it's just a case of modifying the pkgbuild file, please.
