If you want to use system's abseil set the _use_system_abseil to ON - default is to download from internet during build.

@rrt: The ncurses5-compat-libs package builds just fine. You should invest some time to learn how to use the PGP signature verification properly - read the pinned comment of the ncurses5-compat-libs package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ncurses5-compat-libs/

Is it possible to change the ncurses5-compat-libs dependency to something more up-to-date which seems to have quite some issues with the PGP signature verification & automation?

The depends and makedepends fields should depend on the build options specified by the user at the top of the PKGBUILD: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=vim-youcompleteme-git#n19

@wijagels Okay it was actualy an error from my part, sorry, I didn't cleaned the old build directory before rebuilding the package so I guess the old libclang.so which was present in the directory was used to build YCM.

@edacval: Simply try to rebuild the package first when it stops working instead of raging on the AUR...

@edacval: It's the user's responsibility to rebuild AUR packages, not the packager's.
