If you're having an issue upgraded with errors related to fonts like merriweather, here's my steps to resolve the issue (assuming you have Yaourt): #Clear out what you had before yaourt -R fonts-meta-extended-lt sudo pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qtdq) sudo pacman -R ttf-google-fonts-git sudo pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qtdq) #Install dependencies yaourt -S ttf-merriweather-sans ttf-opensans ttf-oswald ttf-quintessential ttf-signika yaourt -S fonts-meta-extended-lt #Heads up, if ttf-impallari-cantora isn't fixed yet, change the PKGBUILD source to the URL in the comments on the package yaourt -S ttf-impallari-cantora yaourt -S ttf-google-fonts-git

I'm cleaning up my fonts with the KDE duplicate tool, so here are some packages that currently aren't listed in conflicts or provides for this and seem to be subsets of the fonts in this pack. All fonts in these packages have identical files with different paths in ttf-google-fonts-git, so add to provides and maybe conflicts, I don't know: - ttf-crimson-pro-variable - ttf-lato (google-fonts Lato-ExtraLight matches ttf-lato Lato-Thin, and same with Lato-Thin -> Lato-Hairline) - noto-fonts-emoji - ttf-readex-pro-variable - ttf-sora-variable

And all fonts in these packages are non-variable versions of fonts that are variable in ttf-google-fonts-git, or vice versa (so add to provides): - ttf-fira-code - ttf-overpass - ttf-signika - adobe-source-code-pro-fonts - ttf-ubuntu-font-family

There were others that had a style or two that aren't present here, so are not listed.

@pentamassiv Thanks that worked for me.

I solved the conflict by running the following commands.

First I removed ttf-google-fonts-git: sudo pacman -Rdd ttf-google-fonts-git

Then I removed all the now orphaned packages: pacman -Qtdq | sudo pacman -Rns -

Installed adobe-source-sans-fonts as a dependency: sudo pacman -S adobe-source-sans-fonts --asdeps

Installed ttf-google-fonts-git again: paru -S ttf-google-fonts-git

I am getting this error when I try to upgrade ttf-google-fonts-git using yay:

:: adobe-source-sans-fonts and ttf-google-fonts-git are in conflict (adobe-source-sans-pro-fonts). Remove ttf-google-fonts-git? [y/N] error: unresolvable package conflicts detected error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)

jychien: Thanks for the heads up--must have missed that in the update. I just pushed the change, thanks again!

Thank you for the update. You should also remove ttf-roboto-mono from the provides list, now that it depends on the [extra] package.

Updated the package per requests and changes in [extra]. Thanks again for the patience on this!

Could you possibly add ttf-carlito in provides? Otherwise it will conflict when installing onlyoffice which requires that font already installed by this package

This package should have "ttf-carlito" listed as a conflict. I could not install the package until I manually removed it. Otherwise the package works great!
