IMO, this is quite an ugly script and should probably be split into different scripts for the 2 different versions of the program.
For people trying to run it I had some initial problems. It appears to only use the ALSA default device, and if pulseaudio is hogging it the program won't completely start up.
One workaround would be to write a small script to start it up and to run "pasuspender -- sleep 10&" immediately before the resolve command. This will make pa release the card for a while, so that resolve can get it.
If you want to use a different soundcard you can do so via an environmental variable. Use "aplay -l" to find the names of your soundcards, it's the second field after the card number, between the ':' and the '[', something like Intel, NVidia, Babyface2359500, etc.
To use my babyface I start it up like this: "ALSA_CARD=Babyface2359500 /opt/resolve/bin/resolve".
