Before importing the video I converted it with ffmpeg so it is encoded with mpeg4 in a mov file. For the audio I didn't change it but since Davinci Resolve displays the volume on the right, I think it could read the audio. It might be a pulseaudio problem (Davinci can't communicate with it). I will try to convert audio and see what happens.

@Paragoumba, what kind of video did you load? what kind of audio is encoded in the media container? The free version is limited on what audio it can import and use. I know when I record video on my phone and import into Davinci-Resolve to edit, I need to convert the video and audio with ffmpeg:
ffmpeg -i "$fle" -c:v prores_ks -vf "scale=1280:720,fps=24000/1001,format=yuv422p" -b:v 110M -profile:v 3 -c:a pcm_s24le "../working/$temp.mov"

I installed this package and all works out of the box except sound. When I play the preview the green volume bars show that there is sound but I can't hear anything. I found on the Internet that pulseaudio-alsa might fix the problem but it doesn't. The issue comes from Davinci because it works on VLC. Is there a known fix?

Source file for DaVinci_Resolve_16.1_Linux.zip is expired.
Someone can confirm it? I'm not. It works great for me.

With this new version, you no longer need to download the ZIP file from the Blackmagic Design website. The script does it automatically.

The latest free version I grabbed is DaVinci_Resolve_16.1_Linux.zip which won't install for some reason. The file was in my downloads directory, which failed to find the file, and I also copied it the the /var/pamac-build-DJ9/davinci-resolve directory, and nothing. It was insisting on 16.0. ?
