Here is the link to preview release of beta 8 for Linux. Both i686 and x86_64 package are available. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/

It seems it already exist for linux. The french beta exists, but not english.

Probably because they're impatient. Either that, or they noticed that b7 was built on the 4th (though it's not scheduled to be actually released to the public until probably Wednesday, Nov 9.) https://wiki.mozilla.org/WeeklyUpdates/2010-11-08
