Hi!

This is less invasive than gnome-terminal-fedora because it doesn't include the notification feature. Therefore you can stay with the regular vte3 and vte-common! To fulfill the makedepends you probably need to install the packages itstool, docbook-xsl, appstream-glib and yelp-tools. Ensure that you have installed the package group base-devel, which is a requirement to use AUR.

Top Workaround with devilspie, fore- and background are transparent.

Bottom Background transparency with gnome-terminal, better readability.

@Users of Manjaro

Please check if Manjaro is providing the same version of GNOME, especially the dependencies vte3 and vte-common. If you want the package for an older release, you can pick the required files from the git log.

Hi hoschi, I think it's just for me, I do have perl-xml-parser installed and it still fails. It had something similar according to this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=213408 Solved it now, thanks :)

Ouch. Are you able to compile the regular gnome-terminal? makepkg should tell you, that intltool is a build-time-dependency, which requires perl-xml-parser. // edit I double checked the build on another machine. It run's fine. Does anybody else have this issue?

checking for XML::Parser... configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is required for intltool ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... :: failed to build gnome-terminal-transparency package(s) It fails for me here. Anyone getting this on 3.20.2-2??

I have added the patches dnd-crash and palette-color, as done for the regular package by Archlinux.

Great package for those that don't need the notification feature build into gnome-terminal-fedora. FYI gnome-terminal 3.20 now includes a dark theme switch upstream, so the "dark-theme" tag/keyword is unnecessary. Also you don't set the dark theme as default. Greetings from gnome-terminal-fedora.
