I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

md5sum is wrong.

Just installed GE 7.1.1.1871 today (but first had to install manually ld-lsb) : GE seems to work fine **except** that Panoramio photos are not showing (360 cities are ok) ! Search on Google shows this is a problem potentially related to Qt libraries. Any solution ?

No, you're using the wrong 'executable'. "/opt/google/earth/free/googleearth" is just a script and "/usr/bin/google-earth" and "/opt/google/earth/free/google-earth" both symlinks to it. GDB: $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/google/earth/free/ gdb /opt/google/earth/free/googleearth-bin (gdb) run: http://pastebin.com/qbCTznWt Strace: $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/google/earth/free/ strace -f /opt/google/earth/free/googleearth-bin: http://pastebin.com/SYcJA3d6 crashlog-*.txt's are naturally empty. There's just something wrong with loading the websites (i.e. the renderer or something).

Anyone else having issues with almost everything under the About menu (things like Keyboard Shortcuts and Report Feedback in particular) causing a crash? This is with official Nvidia drivers and a system last updated about a week ago. Even the built-in crash handler crashes; I can't even get a crash trace, and gdb doesn't understand the executable format...

Seems like the fontconfig bug is no longer there, but the coordinates regression is.

But ld-lsb isn't and I'm not the maintainer of that thing.

Dependency google-earth->ld-lsb->lib32-glibc is still redundant
