Shouldn't this package depend on polkit like sway does? I was making a fresh installation and labwc didn't want to run until I installed it.

Not to worry, while most definitely a novice , I have patched a few things, and am well aware of the difficulties and potential complications.

I will take a look if I can get those backported. But I suspect it won't be easy, as a lot of stuff happened upstream.

As you suggested in a comment for the hikari package, I think these are the two bug-fix commits to labwc that are needed to get nwg-panel and sfwbar, (which I use as a taskbar,) working.

Hi simona. The dep itself is still wlroots. No need for the -git package (which shouldn't work, as the version should be >=0.15 by now)
The PKGBUILD is just using versioned deps. There may be people which have the testing repos enabled and would have ended up with a broken setup. As the previous version couldn't be compiled with the new wlroots and the already compiled one wouldn't work anymore.
Downside is, people without testing (including myself) have now a lingering package which cannot be updated until wlroots hits [community].
I hope this explains my change to the PKGBUILD. If you see room for improvement feel free to tell me.

why wlroots-git instead wlroots dep?
