I forgot to mention that lib32-openexr for the high dynamic range photographic format should also be safe to drop from here, just like you already did in lib32-gegl's build.

Updated. The libmypaint is a required dependency of gimp (see the INSTALL file). Other optional dependencies are disabled.

Plus certainly lib32-libwebp support for WebP support is superfluous here.

And even lib32-libexif is not needed for scanners: only digital cameras set EXIF metadata, not scanners.

Oh, and the digital painting library, lib32-libmypaint would also be best to remove from here.

It is not at all useful in a "headless", GUI-less build. And lib32-gimp is exactly that.

And the backend for Microsoft's vector images, Windows Metafile Format, (lib32-libwmf) can also be safely dropped.

Same goes for lib32-libmng, the animated image format from 2001 that never even got any widespread support.

I think you can also safely drop lib32-libxpm support here. As no this gimp library is only used by scanners, the X11 pixmap format intended for icons is totally unlikely to be needed.

I recommend that you drop using lib32-libheif in this build.

There is no 32-bit only software (such is likely to have been released before 2007) that supports the AVIF or HEIF file formats standardized in 2017 and first implemented in 2018.
