In case of changes/updates to ppp, you will need to re-run chmod -v u+s /usr/sbin/pppd.

Hey @ido. NetExtender 7.0.741 released Feb 2013 is still the General Release (stable) version on MySonicWall.com. Version 7.5.760 released April 9 2014 is the Early Release (beta). I've used 7.5.x and its pretty stable - but thought better than to put non-stable software up on the AUR. As to direct link to the binaries - unfortunately they are behind the MySonicWall.com website. I adopted the package and the method to share it. I am unaware of a publicly accessible site. Your licensing comments are more (with regards to SonicWalls terms) a concern - which I will review this week both the document and, as needed, our Dell account manager. I took the package on, as a convenience of installing it for my own needs (from TGZ) - without prior consideration of the licensing. If the licensing forbids placing it on the AUR is it is (or with modifications), then I shall remove. Thanks for your comments!

@olddog: Thank you for maintaining this package! 7.5 is out, if you'd like to update it. Also, as I understand it, the source URL contains a self-hosted copy of the SonicWALL binary, is that correct? If so, please consider pointing it to the SonicWALL website and not redistributing commercial, security software this way. There are two reasons: 1) IANAL, but this may violate SonicWALL's licensing terms, and 2) the user has no guarantees that the binaries you're providing are genuine and not backdoored.

@olddog, go for it.

Thanks @neverfox, I would be interested in taking this package on.

@olddog, thanks. Would you have any interest becoming the maintainer of this package? Not only have I been unable to get to it, but I will soon no longer be actively using a SonicWALL.

When getting the error: [traffic error 4387] Error reading from pppd: 75 Value too large for defined data type Which you can test to see if you get it with a `ping -s 5000 remoteservername`. Found that 7.0 and 7.5 both get the error - newer firmware at the firewall fixed it for us.

LeCrayonVert => Same here, since I was testing it before making a package. I only have the one SonicWALL device to test with. I wonder if it's possible that 7.5 is too new for the firmware on that device or something of that nature.

neverfox => not with the PKGBUILD. I've installed it with the install script provided in the tar.gz.

LeCrayonVert, I tried it out, and while it installed fine, it just hangs on "Connecting tunnel..." Have you been able to get 7.5 working at all?
