In case of changes/updates to ppp, you will need to re-run chmod -v u+s /usr/sbin/pppd.

I now get the following: ver. 8.6.801 sha256sum NetExtender.tgz 4fc4fb7ae9fd6539965e17e65b8db786c9b3496a5a5d910b80b84613fb6150be sha256sum NetExtender.x86_64.tgz 7c6532bcc946655246c179e54a983b4215a3c7bc2dcdc727b4ba77a84051b77c

Download links have changed. The latest version is 8.6.800 but no longer part of the filename. https://sslvpn.demo.sonicwall.com/NetExtender.tgz https://sslvpn.demo.sonicwall.com/NetExtender.x86_64.tgz sha256sum NetExtender.tgz 9b584ad334a1b02dba0e3b61a158905ad24da8c9930517e4da6eb1123de5adc5 sha256sum NetExtender.x86_64.tgz 4cee2a188d97cd938f73fa3eb1046e2ab81d92b32869494009eb3eb065fd8146 I manually edited the PKGBUILD with the new URLs and checksums, and it built/installed correctly.

I can not install the package. Look like the link is not available right now.

I am currently working to have the post_install and post_remove scripts better handle leftover files (PID locks and other miscellany) that are removed by the `uninstallNetExtender` binary in un-managed installs. This may alleviate some spurious related to stale PID locks. @johnfrenchxyz, can you run netExtender from the command line (rather than netExtenderGui) so you can capture the error message?

johnfrenchxyz commented on 2017-01-04 21:47 (UTC)

When I attempt to connect to my network, the progress bar goes on indefinitely, and an error message flashes for a split second (too quickly to read), and it never actually connects. I'm on a retina MBP. My coworker also is using a MBP and his is able to connect for some reason. I know it is not credential-related, as I can log-in via netextender on the mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can get this to work, I can use linux exclusively at work, which would be amazing.

@casey and @tony1661, I cannot reproduce. The package installs the ip-up script with the .sh extension for me. Granted, this is done via `netExtender -i` in an install script, which I really don't like, but it's what we have. Can you give me any more information about the issue for you?

tony1661 commented on 2016-11-30 15:09 (UTC)

@casey THanks! that worked :)

casey commented on 2016-11-30 13:53 (UTC)

@tony1661 and @chetgray I too ran into the issue where the client would hang at "Connecting tunnel..." The following Gentoo Forums post which mentions creating links with .sh suffixes for the generated ip-up.d and ip-down.d files worked for me. https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7564890.html?sid=a9e9e76e02e56909c29a8627387b2e88#7564890

georgyo, I can. I need to access one for a job now, so the client is necessary for me.

I no longer have a sonicwall. Does anyone want to take ownership of this package?
