Looks good. Does 280.04 fix the nvidia-smi issue? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=119120

I see. Have you tried discussing this with folks from Xorg? If you say it affects binary drivers as well as open source drivers then the trigger might be ditched somewhere in Xorg and the devs might have a clue what it is.

Actually I did check the FTP every day. Why? Because of this: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=160115 I own 7300GT which freezes all the time with newest xorg-server and current nvidia drivers (or for any other version of nvidia drivers for that matter, including nouveau). I've been waiting for it to be fixed but no luck so far. So I've been looking to fix this like crazy with xorg-server-git, nvidia-beta nad what not, and stumbled upon a 280.04 folder on FTP.

Updated, thanks for notifying me. Just out of plain curiosity - how on Earth you found that out? I'm watching nvnews forum, I check the official nVidia pages...this release is not even officially announced yet ANYWHERE, not event here: ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/latest.txt! And don't tell me that you just keep checking nvidia's FTP every day just for fun!

Thanks, will update nvidia-beta-all as well.

The blacklisting was already in nvidia-utils-beta, but for the sake of consistency, I've moved it to nvidia-beta.

User requested blacklist for nouveau to be added on nvidia-beta-all (please see comments), what do you think?
