To install all versions of packettracer except 7.2.2, follow this guidelines: 1. Download the snapshot from this AUR. 2. Tar -zxf the packettracer.tar.gz snapshot (it creates the dir packettracer/ with the PKGBUILD on it). 3. Download the latest packettracer tarball from your Netacad account and copy it into the packettracer/ dir. 4. Create the package with the command makepkg (it creates a packettracer.pkg.tar.xz). 5. Install the package with either makepkg -i or sudo pacman -U packettracer.pkg.tar.xz.

Packettracer 7.2.2 are auto installable via run file, download it from netacad webpage and run it, you don't need this package.

dabbill: 1. download the tarball and extract 2. login at netacad.com, download https://www.netacad.com/documents/301287/48648242/Cisco+Packet+Tracer+6.0.1+for+Linux+%28with+tutorials%29/7b756b52-9a8e-4608-98cf-b6954cea3aab to the extracted directory (or download the one without tutorials and make necessary changes to PKGBUILD). 3. makepkg 4. have fun

I am trying to install this package for school. The windows version runs fine with wine, but would much rather run native client. I am getting ... "==> ERROR: Cisco Packet Tracer 6.0.1 for Linux (with tutorials) was not found in the build directory and is not a URL." when trying to install with pacaur.

On x86_64 depends on lib32-openssl, lib32-qt4, lib32-icu.

Just an FYI, this pkgbuild works well even with the "no tutorials" version of Packet Tracer. To get it working, simply download the "no tutorials" installation file (PacketTracer601_setup_linux.gz), name it "Cisco Packet Tracer 6.0.1 for Linux (with tutorials)" and change the MD5 to the correct hash. ;)
