To install all versions of packettracer except 7.2.2, follow this guidelines: 1. Download the snapshot from this AUR. 2. Tar -zxf the packettracer.tar.gz snapshot (it creates the dir packettracer/ with the PKGBUILD on it). 3. Download the latest packettracer tarball from your Netacad account and copy it into the packettracer/ dir. 4. Create the package with the command makepkg (it creates a packettracer.pkg.tar.xz). 5. Install the package with either makepkg -i or sudo pacman -U packettracer.pkg.tar.xz.

Packettracer 7.2.2 are auto installable via run file, download it from netacad webpage and run it, you don't need this package.

It's missing some dependencies, I had to install: lib32-libxrandr lib32-freetype2 lib32-fontconfig lib32-glib2 and others might have been already installed.

Thank you very much for this pkgbuild!! working great for me. I did not try sound (I don't know what sound would be used for?) @kismet010, do you have a cisco netacad account? Just download the file yourself and unzip the package tarball. build it with makepkg.

I can't hear the sound in packettracer even after I turned on 'Play sound' in Preference. I have Pulseaudio and Alsa installed on xfce4. Does anyone have the same problem?

Yaourt say it doesn't find .tar.gz in compilation directory, and it's not an URL ==> ERROR: PacketTracer533_Generic_Fedora.tar.gz no fue encontrado en el directorio de compilación, y no es una URL. ==> ERROR: Makepkg no ha podido compilar packettracer.

Nevermind I fixed the problem. It needs this libpng12 package from AUR: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=34264 That's the lib32 one for 64 bit systems. Grab the regular libpng12 if you're on 32 bit.

It seems to be broken. After installing a bunch of dependecies manually after installing (why weren't they listed as dependecies beforehand?), editing the PKGBUILD file to change libpng12 to libpng, and finally symlinking libpng12 to libpng I get this. /opt/pt/bin/PacketTracer5: /usr/lib32/libpng12.so.0: version `PNG12_0' not found (required by /opt/pt/lib/libQtGui.so.4)

The required dependency is based on the CARCH and therefore is not listed. The new version shouldn't as there are no api changes. However, I have not tested it.
