To install all versions of packettracer except 7.2.2, follow this guidelines: 1. Download the snapshot from this AUR. 2. Tar -zxf the packettracer.tar.gz snapshot (it creates the dir packettracer/ with the PKGBUILD on it). 3. Download the latest packettracer tarball from your Netacad account and copy it into the packettracer/ dir. 4. Create the package with the command makepkg (it creates a packettracer.pkg.tar.xz). 5. Install the package with either makepkg -i or sudo pacman -U packettracer.pkg.tar.xz.

Packettracer 7.2.2 are auto installable via run file, download it from netacad webpage and run it, you don't need this package.

I got a checksum error: ==> Validating source files with md5sums... PacketTracer531_Fedora.tar.gz ... FAILED packettracer ... Passed linguist ... Passed ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! I have downloaded packettracer and the PKG-build again, but the problem stays.

I have a problem with all versions of PT 5.3(1). But 5.2 works fine, but there is no possibility ExApp, which I need for now.

You can always revert to the previous version ( http://aur.pastebin.com/KCViLzVE ). If anyone else has issues with the current PKGBUILD, leave a comment and I'll revert the changes.

Try uninstalling packettracer, and manually removing any traces you still find of packettracer on your system (rm -r /opt/pt /usr/bin/packettracer) normally these files shouldn't exist anymore after you removed the package so if they do, i think we found the culprit of your problems :) Afterwards you can reinstall this package.
