@reaperx7 Great news, thanks for saying.
https://www.phoronix.com/news/Radeon-Software-Drop-Prop-GL-VK
That's really good news, so maybe soon enough this package will not be needed !!
@mesmer My sources at AMD are saying the amdgpu-pro drivers are being discontinued in favor of Mesa, primarily for OpenGL-Pro, AMF-Pro, and Vulkan-Pro only. News was announced on Phoronix recently.
Amdvlk will be continuing in development as the in-house solution.
AMF will be relegated to Mesa and FFMPEG efforts.
updated to 6.3.4 like @reaperx7 said, try to use the -git firmware, and if can wait for the main repo to be with the correct packages
@kins these drivers are mainly for professional workflows. While you can use them for gaming purposes as a stopgap solution until Mesa-25 is moved from testing to mainline, yes, they will have some reduced performance compared to radv and amdvlk. This, however, is due to the drivers being engineered for rendering accuracy rather than performance.
I followed the instructions on the github repo from the pinned comment yesterday to get the new packages myself for my 9070XT and it worked fine on CachyOS with linux-firmware-git from AUR and mesa git which I built myself.
I know non gaming workloads are the intended use case for these drivers, but if you're looking for gaming performance it's currently pretty terrible at least with DXVK/VKD3D using these drivers... Was around 60% of RADV in my (limited) testing. =(
@mesmer The new linux-firmware and mesa-25.0 are in Core-Testing so they should be released soon.
However, I would caution anyone with a 9070/9070XT to install the following from AUR for best coverage:
linux-firmware-git mesa-git
before attempting to install 6.3.4 amdgpu-pro in any capacity until the fore-spoken packages are updated in the main tree.
@reaperx7 the 6.3.4 seems to be doable to update, i`ll try to test and update that today
also we need to check if the linux-firmware works with the version, the amd releases some updates that the arch just dont have the correct firmware, it happens from time to time
New 6.3.4 drivers are out with support for 9070/9070XT.

IF PROBLEM HAPPEN
this package is our try to put amdgpu in ARCH, but this could break or have problems as amd update and change their packages for ubuntu
if anything happens you can always download a older tag in https://github.com/Ashark/archlinux-amdgpu-pro/releases and get the PKGBUILD there, and use makepkg with that build while we update or try to fix :)
ALWAYS USE LINUX-FIRMWARE-GIT IF LATEST DRIVER FAIL BEFORE ISSUE SOME ERROR
