Now shiboken2 python-shiboken2 and pyside2-tools have been dropped to AUR due to incompatibility with Python 3.12

Solution: siboken2 -> siboken6 pyside2-tools -> pyside6-tools python-pyqt5 -> python-pyqt6 python-pyqt5-sip -> python-pyqt6-sip

Thank you for the report.

I had to remove sip4 because it fails to build with Python 3.12.

I added shiboken2 to the dependencies just now.

(And python-shiboken2 was already included as a transitive dependency.)

I can't have ros2-iron compile with sip6 in the end. No module named 'sipconfig' and I don't find a sipconfig.py nor a sip binary anywhere. After some hours it was shiboken2 and python-shiboken2 helped me compile...

Edit: ros2-iron defaults to skip python_qt_binding related packages, I mean building all packages including them :)

I needed to install python-wheel (https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/python-wheel/) to be able to install the dependencies of this package

I tried building ros2-iron with sip6 today, works fine

sip6 is broken, so we back to sip4.

sip4 is not needed on ROS2.

If it compiled in normal environment, I got

I tried to compile in clean chroot the humble 2023-09-25 and got

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:67 (message):
  No Python binding generator found.

SIP is behaving again
