After building the commit associated with 12.0.15, the about dialog still says 11.28.0. Don't know what's going on with the repo, but going to leave this package as is (incorrect version number). The -bin package seems to be okay.

This package is automatically built by a server a few hours after updates. Since this package takes a long time to build, users may consider waiting a couple days before rebuilding to allow for log checks and correction.

This package cannot be updated on the basis of blog posts. Please check for release availability before flagging: https://github.com/Floorp-Projects/Floorp/releases/

aur/floorp builds from source. Binary package available at aur/floorp-bin.

  • If you have problems building:

    • Try clearing cache and resyncing package.
    • Try building in a clean chroot.
    • Provide details needed to reproduce the problem: build environment, computer specs, graphics card, desktop environment, commands used to build, etc.
    • Provide the full log in a pastebin.
  • Build options and defaults. See PKGBUILD for current list.

    • _build_pgo (true) – enable profile-guided optimization (PGO); ~20% better benchmarks, 3× build time
    • _build_pgo_reuse (try) – reuse previously generated profile
    • _build_pgo_xvfb (false) – use Xvfb for profiling, otherwise, use xwayland-run
    • _build_lto (false) – use link-time optimization (LTO); disabling may prevent spurious crashes
    • _build_system_libs (true) – use system libraries
    • _build_limit_cores (false) – limit parallelization based on memory and core availability
  • Examples of use:

    • _build_pgo=false makepkg -Csr
    • extra-x86_64-build -- -- _build_limit_cores=true
    • _build_pgo_xvfb=false yay floorp # usage with AUR helpers may vary

Very confusing to have multiple releases associated with same commit. Looks like may be related to build system change. Probably won't be able to look into it further for a couple weeks.

Very strange and incompetent on their part. I've raised the issue but still no answers. Not sure I'll keep using it or recommend it.

@patlefort I'm referring to commit hashes associated with releases at Floorp/releases.

patlefort commented on 2025-07-20 22:25 (UTC)

The source hash is set to SKIP. Only the last one which is the .desktop file has a hash. Are you confusing the last hash for the source hash?

xiota commented on 2025-07-20 04:25 (UTC)

The commit hash for multiple successive releases is identical. I will bump this package after I figure out what is going on.

wlheadless-run is provided by aur/xwayland-run and aur/xwayland-run-git.

Issues with stable package have been resolved.

patlefort commented on 2025-03-06 06:57 (UTC)

wlheadless-rundoes not exist in the AUR or official repo. Was it removed?
