When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.

You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:

$ curl -sSf https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/main/binary-amd64/Packages | \
     grep -A1 "Package: google-chrome-stable" | \
     awk '/Version/{print $2}' | \
     cut -d '-' -f1

Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.

I was using v35 all this time since the update and can conclude it is total cr*p, if devs are going to continue this way I'd definitely need another browser.

Update: v34 is a flag on top of the PKGBUILD for now.

With the latest version 35.0.1916.114 i can't use external plugins (java, etc) chrome://plugins show only the defaults, others plugins are not present (even if they are correctly installed) Before update they worked.

If somebody whats to have chrome pinned to docky add StartupWMClass=Google-chrome-stable to the .destktop file. Is it posible to add it to the .deb file? More info: http://en.eduard-dopler.de/148/problems-with-chrome-icon-in-docky/

And, as also mentioned, at least one possibility is your passwords.

Downgrading to Version 34.0.1847.137 causes this warning: Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of Google Chrome. Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Chrome.
