@creepergd I have no idea if cuda/nvenc/nvfbc works with nvidia-open, so I dont know. Nvidia-open doesn't support my GPU.

@DEC05EBA One question I have is would this work with the nvidia-open driver?

@DEC05EBA Good news, the issue with XORG I was having was on my end

Hmm yeah It seems like recording monitor is slower on amd/intel than recording a single window. I will see if I can fix that.

@creepergd oh, are you swapping gpus on the same computer? that will break yes.. But doesn't that break even if you just have a nvidia config (nvidia settings) saved? I dont think swapping gpus is supposed to just work.

@DEC05EBA when I first booted I was using the updated one from yesterday where you fixed the bug regarding merging audio. The one I have now is the most up-to-date freshly-installed one since I purged the one that was causing the boot to fail. I think I will try rebooting a couple more times swapping the gpus to see if purging the older install fixed it.

@creepergd do you mean if you install gpu screen recorder right now on amd then xorg will fail to boot? or is that only with an old version? there was an issue with that before but it should have been fixed.

@DEC05EBA It also works on AMD, but I did notice a performance hit for both AMD and intel versus NVIDIA when recording, not nearly as bad as OBS tho. I'm assuming this is because NVIDIA has better video codecs or something right? Also I noticed that when booting with the AMD GPU it was failing to load XORG from what I'm assuming was the NVIDIA coolbits stuff, thus I uninstalled and reinstalled the software to fix it. Do you think you could make it so that when loading up the system with an AMD GPU it blocks whatever causes XORG to fail?

The gpus I use are the intel UHD Integrated Graphics 620 for my laptop (cpu is an i7-8650U), my nvidia gpu is a discrete RTX 3060, and my amd gpu is a discrete RX 6700xt if that helps. I daily drive my nvidia GPU and only really use my AMD gpu for vr stuff in a windows VM.
