@Neko-san Thanks for the quick response! That puts it in perspective. Thanks for packaging this, anyways.

I actually don't have the storage space to even compile UE5 right now Lol; haven't been able to for a while
As for reporting that issue, unfortunately Epic makes this unbearably difficult to do. They have a bug report page that historically doesn't work and their only fallback is a forum they direct users to that they barely pay attention to, if at all.
This is one of the main reasons for my love-hate relationship with Unreal, and I totally understand the frustration of not being able to communicate simple problems with Epic whilst they make little to no effort to remedy that. :)

@Neko-san It's still there after building 5.0.3
. So, I guess you're not experiencing it. It's kinda maddening. I'm not sure if there's a way to report it.
Edit: Actually it's more inconsistent now. The controls on the crash dialog are properly aligned.
In this version and in the previous one, trying to open/edit a new IK Rig crashes 100% of the time. So, I'm glad the buttons on the crash dialog work.

@saburouta I updated the package to 5.0.3; what you described is probably an upstream issue, so hopefully 5.0.3 fixes it
saburouta commented on 2022-07-14 20:30 (UTC)
Is anyone else having the issue that all clickable controls activate from an area that is a few hundred pixels below the actual control?
This affects the entire UI - even the launcher.

@Shatur You say that, but I've actually rm -rf
'd my root folder with makepkg through a bug before Lol
I never reported that bug though, because I didn't want to have to re-check exactly how I did it and put myself through that hell again just to confirm the exact working example
Shatur commented on 2022-07-06 06:42 (UTC)
Yes, you can't modify the filesystem outside of the PKGBUILD.

I find it odd that ln
had a permission denied issue when makepkg
is supposed to have elevated privileges?

@juancarlospaco this is easily done on your own system, not in a PKGBUILD, given that building packages runs as root:
Permission issues like this are already mentioned on the UE Arch wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unreal_Engine_4#Installing_from_the_AUR
This is a user system problem; I already did what I could without needing users to do the above by giving the
777
permissions. If it still gives you trouble, you'll have to use the example to solve it or change the install location to somewhere you have user permissions by default (as I cannot do this for you).zerophase commented on 2021-05-27 08:15 (UTC) (edited on 2021-05-30 08:41 (UTC) by zerophase)
Will update to 5.0 when it is released.
